Property Survey
A site survey is the initial step. The property will be assessed and all elements of construction, building services and glazing will be identified and evidenced. This can take from 30 minutes to several hours dependent upon size and complexity of the building and it's services.
Data Consolidation
During and post the survey, a floorplan will be drawn up and site notes compiled. Additional data will be sourced with regard to efficiency factors of the building services present and the construction types evident. All information will then be used to support the modelling of the building and to create an audit trail for the accreditation body.
Software Upload and Lodgement
Once all the required data has been identified, the information regarding the building can be uploaded into the government software to create a model of the building, including all building services information such as heating, cooling, ventilation, exhaust, lighting and glazing. Once all the parameters have been entered, the rating can be generated from the software, and the result can then be lodged on the official government site through the accreditation body, Elmhurst Energy.
